Paperless

Guess what? Yep, finally did it, a brand new cartoon!!! Holy crap, I'm proud of myself on this one, I can't believe how quick I churned it out! I did plan on doing some work on this last night as my house is finally illness free, but I didn't count on all those late nights looking after my son catching up to me. So I went to bed early as I was tired as, so the the new plan was to hopefully find some time today to do it while my eldest son is in daycare for the day. But my lovely lady and my youngest son and I had some important things to do this morning, which honestly took way longer than I'd planned.....I was damn determined though. I managed to start this cartoon from scratch at 2:30 this afternoon and had it completely done by just after 4! How good is that?  I'm damn proud, I mean it's not the best toilet I've ever drawn, but hey who gives a shit? (no pun intended) So as much as I love criticism and all, if you don't like this cartoon, either the joke or the art, then screw you, I'm proud of it and that's all that matters.... I've been trying my best to do something new for weeks and I just couldn't so I really hope I can keep it up now.

The idea for this one came from a note in one of my books which was pretty much "new digital versions of old things" which then led to me thinking about what else can be replaced by something digital? I thought what about digital toilet paper? I mean, when all other paper is gone, would we still have toilet paper? Then I thought what would people use when the toilet paper has run out in a public toilet if you don't have a newspaper or magazine that you were reading? Yep, you'd have to scrape your butt out with your iPad as that's the new newspaper/magazine....well probably not, but I found that idea quite funny so here it is.

I'll try and do some Friday Night Art again this Friday as it's been quite awhile since I've done one of those and I'm rather keen! Until we meet again!

Bat Off

Hey, remember last week how I mentioned that I couldn't do a new cartoon because both my kids have been sick and I've spent all my nights looking after my month old son Kylar? Well guess who woke up feeling like complete crap this morning? Yep, me....and Kylar is still sick! So once again another vault cartoon, which I'm sure most of you probably don't care as you've most likely never seen this one before anyway, but it just makes me feel bad. I'm really, really hanging to do some new stuff. I've got major withdrawals! I need to work! I was so looking forward to hopefully drawing up a new one tonight, but I just can't, I feel god awful. Stupid virus!

So I'm not sure if the term "Bat Off" is an Australian term or not, if so you may not get this one straight away....maybe, well here is an explanation anyway: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=batting%20off&defid=1076539 Man I love Urban Dictionary! Anywho, I'm going to go lie down now, look I really, really hope from next week onwards I can start some new cartoons and I'm really going to work on having some backups as well. Paternity Leave

So no new comic again this week, which I feel really bad about, I'm so sorry! It sucks, because I've got the ideas ready to go, I seriously just haven't had the spare time at all! My original plan was to slowly work on some new one's at night while everyone was asleep, but my 4 week old boy, Kylar has other plans. The poor little guy has caught a flu off his big brother so he wakes up quite often upset. So his poor mother has been getting no sleep at all, so me being the awesome dad I am, I've had the little man sleep on me on the couch from about 8:30 til 12 at night so poor Pen can get at least some sleep. So I've had no spare time, on the plus side I have to do something on the couch at night, so I've been catching up on some console gaming! Hey, he's asleep, what else am I going to do? If fact I found it was the only thing that kept me awake anyway, watching TV or reading just made me sleepy.


So this is another cartoon from the vault, not as old as some as you can tell by the drawing style. I think I'm most proud of the facial expression on this one, can you tell he's punching out a massive turd or what? Have you every had a turd so big you check the bowl after to make sure no vital organs came out with it? I can't remember for certain how I got this idea, but I could probably guess where I got the idea that's for sure. They say that the 'throne' is the best place to do thinking, well I guess it can be true when it's ideas about taking big shits.


Anyway, so I hope everything all settles down and I can get some new 'toons done very soon, I really don't want to post another old cartoon next week as it's already been 4 weeks in a row now.....I'll try my best. Later,

They All Smell Like That

I know that I did say last week I'd try and do a new cartoon this week, but sorry, had to dip into the vault again. The new addition to the household has thrown a spanner into the works as you'd expect, and hopefully this week we can get some new routines started and I can get back to finding the time to do some cartoons again! I'm really going to try harder this week though, I have to admit I'm been rather tired of late and I was going to do some work last night but I was beat so I skipped it. Sometimes sleep wins...that and the free weekend of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 on Steam.....damn you to hell COD.

I was looking through all my old cartoons earlier and I thought that I may as well stick to the fish smelling vagina joke theme of last week. This cartoon has probably two of my favourite things, Superheroes and sex jokes! How could I not do this? I know ladies hate the fish smelling jokes, but I can't help myself I just find it far too funny.....Feel free to complain. It makes you wonder though, does Aquaman smell bad downstairs? Do you think he cops shit from the ladies? Mind you, I'm pretty sure he just bones mermaids anyway, and they know all about fishy smelling private parts that's for sure.

Alrighty, better go, I may spend Friday night working on next weeks cartoon and post up some sketches of it. What do you think? Would that ruin the surprise for the final cartoon to much? It' an idea anyway....See ya!
